Universal audio la 610 mkii vs avalon 737. I have used the Universal Audio 2-610. I have only gotten one good vocal session with that combo. On the other hand my AKG 414 sound very good with the LA-610.

Avalon 737 -VS- Universal Audio 6176. I also agree that the u87 is not a good match for the UA. I have the LA-610 with telefunken tubes.

I am Thinking of getting an Avalon 737. Now i know these babies are both superb but I would love some influences on what would be the better choice for some rich meaty vocal recordings. So does anyone have an opinion on which one would be a better choice for some killer vocal recordings.
